Liberty Comms to open New York office

The search to recruit a US team is currently under way, with plans to open in early 2013.

Liberty founder and MD Dee Gibbs said: ‘Too many firms rely too heavily on sending UK-based staff out to build North American business, but that approach means local knowledge of the market and the technology landscape just doesn’t exist.

‘By opening and staffing a New York office with local specialists, we will be coupling regional expertise and know-how with our distinctive Liberty way. The next six months represents an enormously exciting period of opportunities for Liberty.’

The expansion follows increasing demand from US-based clients that Liberty currently serves in the European market.

The news comes after expansions into New York for a raft of UK agencies including TVC, Diffusion, John Doe and Frank PR.
