Chris Taylor is to leave his role at Derbyshire District Council to join Leicester City Council as head of comms and marketing. Taylor, who will take on the new position in January after five years as comms and marketing manager, said: 'Leicester is an ambitious authority in terms of inward investment and economic development, while the cultural offer of the city is very strong.'
Prime Minister David Cameron has launched a campaign to recruit a million volunteers to help support people with dementia. The Dementia Friends scheme is led by the Alzheimer's Society and includes free awareness sessions on how to better understand dementia.
The Government's next comms framework up for grabs is set to be worth between £6m and £24m. This was disclosed in an email to agencies around the launch of the comms planning and strategy planning framework, which PRWeek revealed (26 October) has been delayed until the start of next year.
