Claims Direct set to stage pitch for financial PR remit
HOLLY WILLIAMS, PR Week UK, Friday, 26 October 2001, 12:00pm,
Claims Direct is to repitch its financial PR account following the
resignation of incumbent Golin/Harris Ludgate.
Simon Ware-Lane, the rival ClaimLine founder who last month handed Max
Clifford a tabloid PR brief, has bought a 30 per cent stake in Claims
Direct.
He plans to merge the two, and this week confirmed the financial account
was up for pitch in December.
G/HL - now being merged into Weber Shandwick Worldwide's City offering
Weber Shandwick Square Mile - relinquished the account shortly after the
completion of Ware-Lane's Claims Direct deal. The agency will work on
the account until the turn of the year.
Gavin Anderson, which was taken on to handle PR surrounding the
Ware-Lane buy, is shortlisted for the review.
