Commerce One six-figure remit goes to Brands2Life

B2B online software firm Commerce One has hired Brands2Life for its

six-figure UK, Europe, Middle East, India and Africa PR remit.

Brands2Life replaces incumbent Write Image on the account after a

nine-way competitive pitch, taking on a brief to handle all UK PR and

manage the co-ordination of Commerce One's 11 agencies across the EMEIA

region.

The appointment follows Commerce One's external PR review, first

announced in June (PRWeek, 16 June).

Commerce One - the Nasdaq-listed e-commerce marketplace specialist -

retains Write Image, which took part in the repitch, for marketing

services and market analyst work following the review.

Brands2Life co-founder Giles Fraser leads a team of six on the account,

reporting to Commerce One EMEIA corporate communications director

Patrick Meyer and director of UK marketing Catherine Stenson.

Fraser said the brief is to work with Commerce One's marketing campaign

to increase the firm's profile with major companies. Work will include

strategic counsel and media relations work.

Commerce One's EMEIA retained agency network includes GCI in France,

Essential Media in Germany and Weber Shandwick Worldwide in Spain.

The firm has also repitched its Portugal account, hiring Hill & Knowlton

affiliate NR Consulting in place of WSW affiliate Documentos.

Coinciding with the UK and EMEIA appointment, Commerce One has also

appointed Text 100 for corporate PR in Singapore, Japan, Hong Kong and

China. Text 100 pitched against three other agencies for the brief,

including incumbent IBI and WSW.
