Ant, who had three number one singles including Prince Charming and Stand and Deliver, is set to release Adam Ant is the Blueblack Hussar in Marrying the Gunner’s Daughter in October.

The Cult partner Matt Glass said: ‘Adam Ant is a hugely iconic and much-loved British musician, and we’re incredibly excited to be representing him. We’re looking forward to introducing him to a new generation of music fans, to add to the legions of diehard supporters he’s kept since the 80s.’

Ant, who rose to fame as lead singer of post-punk group Adam and the Ants before embarking on a solo career, recently went through a well-documented battle with depression and bipolar disorder.

He will also perform at a series of festivals including Bestival and the Summer Sundae Weekender, as well as a tour of the UK and North America, fresh from a successful tour of Australia.

The release will be supported by a new film, The Blueblack Hussar, produced by The Klaxons bassist Jamie Reynolds.

The Cult will manage the print, TV and radio campaign for the comeback campaign.
