Action for Children: comms head leaves for Oxfam
Vines will head the new public engagement department bringing together fundraising, policy and public affairs, Australian citizenship, communications and Oxfam Australia’s Aboriginal and Torres Straits Programmes.
Commenting on his departure, Action for Children director of external relations and Communications Polly Neate said:
'Gregg's legacy at Action for Children is that we are now one of the leading children's charities in the UK. As well as leading a successful rebrand, Gregg defined a communications strategy that to engage key audiences on our vital work to support the most vulnerable children, young people and families in the UK who desperately need our services. We know Gregg will take his experience and skills to his new role and wish him all the best.'
Vines worked at Action for Children for seven years, and before this was director of communications at The Stroke Association.
He was also previously head of media relations at Royal College of Nursing and public relations manager at Parkinson's UK.
Action for Children will announce a new director of communications later this year.
