The production and commercial arm of ITN has stepped up its efforts to promote its content and broadcast services, explaining it is due to an increase in demand from both agencies and in-house PROs during the Queen's Diamond Jubilee and Olympics. The arm has been in existence since 2010.
In an email leaked to PRWeek, ITN Productions states: ‘It doesn’t matter what your story is: we can tailor an approach that will give you real impact and measurable results’.
The email, sent to PR agencies and in-house comms professionals, details ITN Productions’ latest work and its services that include ‘video news release, viral and broadcast PR services across TV, online and radio platforms’.
It goes on to state: 'With the recent jubilee and the Olympics not far off, there are a lot of news stories jostling for attention. In this busy media climate, how can you ensure your clients’ story is the one hitting the headlines?'
Kelly Davis, ITN Productions executive producer, told PRWeek: ‘We are seeing such a demand in PROs looking for content advice and support that we have decided to reach out to those who haven’t heard of our services.
‘PR agencies and in-house teams don’t have the capacity to use film crews to capture content and produce videos that have the quality news desks are looking for. And with this being the Olympic year and so many opportunities to hook stories around activities, we thought now was the time to promote ourselves.’
Davis was quick to point out that ITN Productions can not offer guarantees that content will be used by news desks.
The push by ITN Productions comes after The Economist Group acquired marcoms agency TVC Group in March and billed it as a move to offer content creation and brand comms.
