Natasha Jonas: initially trained as a footballer
Natasha Jonas was the first British woman to achieve London Olympic qualifying standard for London 2012, where for the first time female boxing will be a competitive event at an Olympics.
She will joined by Savannah Marshall and Nicola Adams in the GB Women’s boxing squad, all of whom have been tipped for medal success.
Jonas initially trained as a footballer but swapped to boxing in 2005. By 2010, she had won the English Amateur Boxing Association Championships five times, as well as gold at the EU Championship in 2009 and 2011.
She joins The Sports PR Company’s client list, which includes footballers Didier Drogba, Theo Walcott, Michael Essien and Petr Cech.
