Airbus: is a subsidiary of EADS and produces the world’s largest passenger airliner the A380
It is believed director of comms Pierre Bayle will leave to be replaced by Rainer Ohler, currently head of public affairs and communication at EADS-owned Airbus.
The move, expected to be announced within the coming months, follows on from the CEO of EADS, Louis Gallois, moving to head a €35bn (£28.4bn) economic development project led by the French government of Francois Hollande.
He was replaced by Tom Enders, who was formerly CEO of Airbus. A well-positioned source said that the change in CEO would have played a part in the comms reshuffle.
A spokesman for EADS, which employs nearly 135,000 people at more than 170 sites worldwide, said that following a change in CEO ‘there may be a number of shifts in the responsibilities of senior management, and these would be announced in due course'.
Included in the shifts were recent announcements around the appointment of Alexander Reinhardt as EADS head of public affairs in Germany, and Philippe Bottrie, the new head of political affairs in France.
Airbus is an aircraft manufacturing subsidiary of EADS and produces the world’s largest passenger airliner, the A380.
It is not yet known what Bayle’s next move will be.
