Public Sector: British Council seeks help for Going Global
prweek.com, Friday, 25 May 2012, 12:00am,
The British Council is on the hunt for comms help to promote a flagship education forum being held in the Middle East.
Going Global runs for three days and aims to attract more than 1,000 movers and shakers from the world of education from across 80 countries, to discuss wide-ranging issues.
PR and creative agencies are being called upon to support next year's event, to be held in Dubai, as well as events production companies and audio and visual services.
Jacqui Jenkins, conference producer for Going Global, said this was the first time a PR agency would be called in to promote the event.
Jenkins said: 'We have a good brand but an agency would help us shape all the comms around the conference, from campaigns through to stakeholder engagement.'
Next year's Going Global conference will be held from 11 to 13 March at the Dubai World Trade Centre.
The conference was launched in 2004 and has since grown into an annual event, which is biannually held in London.
The pitch process is likely to involve a minimum of five and a maximum of eight agencies competing for the brief, for which the initial deadline for contact is 13 June.
