marketingmagazine.co.uk, Wednesday, 16 May 2012, 10:00am,
Event manager UK, OnePiece
Describe yourself in three words.
Caring, energetic and spontaneous.
How would you define marketing?
Fast-paced, ever-changing and exciting.
What advice would you give someone starting their marketing career?
You must be prepared to live and breathe what you do.
What attracted you to your current job?
OnePiece is a dynamic brand that I knew would suit me down to the ground. Every day is different and exciting - and I love it.
What was your first job and how did you get it?
Working in an orphanage in Thailand. When I finished school, I really wanted to do something different. I applied to volunteer in Thailand and ended up spending six-and-a-half years there.
What makes you angry?
When people are disrespectful, and bad grammar and spelling.
What's your favourite holiday destination?
Anywhere off the beaten track.
What are your hobbies?
Fashion, photography and travel.
If you weren't you, who would you be?
I love my life and can't imagine being anyone else. If I had to choose, Angelina Jolie for a day or two please.
What's your favourite pub?
The Wheatsheaf in Tooting Bec.
What other languages do you speak?
Thai fluently, and German almost fluently.
If you were a brand, what would you be and why?
Alexander McQueen - chic edgy and timeless.
What is your all-time favourite slogan?
You only live once, but if you do it right, once is enough.
If you could get tickets to any event, what would it be?
An all-expenses-paid trip to the Burning Man festival.
What was your finest hour?
Seeing Clothes Show Live boss Gavin Brown in a OnePiece at this year's event.
If you had three wishes, what would they be?
Health and happiness for my friends and family; a lifetime supply of Alexander McQueen; and to own a house on the beach.
