Maitland replaces Golin/Harris on PR strategy at Logica
Logica, the pounds 4bn technology services company, has appointed
the Maitland Consultancy to handle its corporate and financial PR.
Maitland was appointed after a three-way pitch and takes over from
Golin/Harris Ludgate, which repitched for the work.
A three-strong team of chairman Angus Maitland, head of investor
relations Jantina Klein-Roseboom and senior consultant Colin Browne will
work on the account.
They report to Logica marketing director Royston Hoggarth and will
assist the company's in-house communications team.
Maitland said the agency would concentrate on strategic communications
for Logica.
He said: 'In the UK and abroad Logica is one of the biggest companies in
its field.' Other Maitland technology clients include BT and the Laird
Group.
This week, Logica finance director Andrew Given hit out at proposals to
force companies to account for employee share options in profit and loss
accounts. The proposals, issued by the Accounting Standards Board, could
be implemented in two years.
Last month in the US, Logica was appointed as a strategic business
partner for the Ford Motor Company.
