The reception of Edelman's London offices feels more like a boutique hotel lobby than a PR agency. So it comes as no surprise when president and CEO EMEA Robert Phillips admits he 'borrowed' the design from the bar of London's Haymarket Hotel.

The makeover took place in 2008 as Edelman, Spook and JCPR moved in together. Phillips says the theme was 'British eccentricity with a global accent', adding that the aim was to design a space 'for the conversation economy to flourish'.He believes the space has increased productivity. 'Putting the digital guys front and centre was important. I also love the references to Monty Python, Sid James and even Les Dawson. Above all, I love that the CEO's office is right in the middle of the action.'

Edelman was listed in The Sunday Times 100 Best Companies to Work For last weekend.
