Yelp: gives Brands2Life a three-month project brief
The brand, which lets people know of a range of services and shops nearest to them and is widely used in app form on mobile phones, has given the Brands2Life a three-month project brief.
Consumer facing, the brief is the first given to an agency in the UK and is focused on boosting awareness of the brand.
The agency team is being led by director Alex Williams and will report to Yelp’s European PR manager Elliot Adams.
She told PRWeek that the focus would be on running an integrated social media and PR campaign, with a focus on both regional and national media.
Williams, who will be leading a team of five from Brands2Life, added: ‘We wanted to get involved because we thought it was a fun and exciting digital business, and when my colleague went to San Francisco he noticed everyone was using it.’
Yelp was founded in San Francisco in July 2004 and in Q4 of 2011 recorded an average of 66 million monthly unique users.
Williams added: ‘We’re really looking to boost awareness and provide a legacy in terms of Yelp's social media footprint and build up a community.’
