LONDON (Brand Republic) - European internet users are loyal to their country’s national travel companies, according to the latest research from MMXI Europe.
Established brands such as British-Airways.com and Nouvell-Frontieres.fr have held top positions since the beginning of the year. In the UK, Thomascook.co.uk jumped from the number 10 travel website in April to number three in May, and Railtrack.co.uk and TheTrainline.com have made it to the top five for the first time. Lastminute.com has consistently held the number one travel website spot during 2000 in the UK.
Most UK visitors to travel websites are men, according to the MMXI figures for May. Men made up 56.1% of the visitors to Lastminute.com, and 75% of visitors to Railtrack.co.uk and TheTrainline.com.
