PARIS: Giorgio Galli, who last summer was named director of

communications and external relations for L'Oreal (PRWeek, 4 August

2000), has been promoted to vice-president of the French cosmetics

group. Galli is already a member of the executive committee of L'Oreal

and had succeeded Jean-Pierre Valeriola, who resigned last year as

vice-president in charge of corporate communications and public

relations.
