Ed Brewster, group head of media relations at Prudential, has joined Chinese tech company Huawei as comms director. Brewster had been at Prudential for three years and was previously head of corp comms at Three UK.
Tulchan Communications has appointed Ed Orlebar as a consultant. He joins from M:Communications where he was a partner, having joined the agency in 2006 from Finsbury.
Emerald Networks, a sub-sea cable system owner/operator that connects North America, Europe and Iceland, has hired Abchurch to handle its corporate PR.
BlackRock has recruited Jonathan Mullen as EMEA head of corporate comms, reporting to global corporate comms head Jim Badenhausen. He was previously head of corporate comms at HSBC.
Itacare Capital, a real estate investment company focused on high-end residential projects in Brazil, has called in Redleaf Polhill to act as its financial PR consultant.
Ikano Financial Services, a specialist provider of loyalty and finance products to the retail industry, has appointed Tank PR as its retained PR agency. Tank will work to raise Ikano's profile in the retail sector and among UK consumers.
