Sainsbury's Magazine, with an ABC of 330,000, has been revamped,
bringing food articles closer to the front and introducing five new
sections.
Editor Michael Wynn Jones commented: 'We have tried to give the recipes
star billing. We usually have at least 60 pages of food, but before you
had to get through the features to get to it.'
The new sections are on: nutrition, food trends, eating out, food
exhibitions and Delia Smith has a series of classic recipes. The cover
has also been redesigned, and regular features on international food and
alternative health have been added.
Wynn Jones said that photography would also be more varied than
before.
'Visually there will be a change of pace all the way through.' More
items and images will be presented as 'bite-size' chunks, with quick
recipes intercut with longer articles.
Regular contributors to the monthly title will include Nigella Lawson
and Nigel Slater.
