Red Rooster Beauty and Consumer PR has been hired by Nestle for the
relaunch of much-loved confectionery brand Quality Street.
There was no pitch, with the agency being recommended on the strength of
its lauded work with Chunky Kit Kat and Maverick chocolate bars.
Previously Quality Street PR was handled in-house, but Nestle is
revitalising the brand with a new ad and sponsorship campaign.
RRPR will be promoting the first ever National Quality Moments Day,
which takes place on 20 October, and ties in with the advertising
campaign.
Quality Street brand manager Nicole Broerse said: 'Traditional
advertising does a great job reaching a broad audience.
'To compliment our above-the-line campaign, we wanted to reach our
consumers on a more personal level, to surprise them in a relevant
way.'
This is a particularly important time for Quality Street. This month saw
the launch of its newly-modernised packaging and the beginning of its
sponsorship of ITV's Movie Blockbusters film season.
The Quality Street brand has been in existence for nearly 60 years, but
has recently faced tough competition from the launch of Mars
Celebrations, a selection of miniature chocolate bars.
