Porter Novelli has launched a report entitled Social Consumers in Europe, aimed at helping companies target consumers through social media. The agency asked more than 10,000 people across the UK, Belgium, France, Germany, the Netherlands and Spain about how they use social media. It identified four groups - Cheerleaders (20- to 40-year-old social media users who influence others); Loyalists (20- to 45-year-olds most likely to build long-term relationships with brands); Opportunists (45- to 60-year-olds who only follow brands to receive discounts) and Outsiders (60-year-olds+ who only use social media for personal use).
Dimension Data Advanced Infrastructure, the systems data company, has hired ITPR as its first UK PR agency. ITPR aims to provide a thought leadership-based campaign and will target the construction, architecture, infrastructure, engineering and technology trade media.
Sts Digital, the mobile, tech management and business consultant, has called in Revolver PR as its first retained agency. Revolver aims to raise STS Digital's corporate profile and communicate potential savings in the use of mobile management technology.
Competitor Monitor, the online trading information service, has appointed Ramarketing as its first UK PR agency. Competitor Monitor has asked Ramarketing to raise its profile among retail chains and global firms that sell products online where price is the key driver.
LOC Consulting, the IT-led projects and business change company, has hired Aspectus PR to manage its UK comms and media relations. Aspectus aims to promote LOC through social media, raise its SEO and support its wider PR activities.
