DARA, an organisation committed to improving aid to populations suffering from conflict or disaster, has appointed Rostrum Communications to raise awareness of the 2011 Climate Vulnerable Forum ministerial meeting in Dhaka, Bangladesh. The forum represents countries affected by climate change.
Turn2us, part of Elizabeth Finn Care, a charity that gives direct financial support to individuals in need, has launched a social media campaign to publicise fuel poverty. The campaign encourages people to tweet the amount they pay for energy as a percentage of their income. The rates will be plotted on an interactive map to illustrate the variation across the country.
Mencap, the learning disability charity, has launched a competition to find individuals with a learning disability to front an advertising campaign for its support services. The charity is inviting people to audition for its New Year, New Me campaign by submitting a short film or a photo saying what they hope to achieve in 2012.
Parkinson's UK, the Parkinson's disease support and research charity, will receive pro bono support from Hatch Communications during 2011-2012. Hatch will help the Leeds and District branch of Parkinson's UK with strategic advice and copywriting, editing and designing their members' newsletter.
