Voluntary Sector: The Week in Charities

Christian Aid UK has brought in Kindred to promote Christian Aid Week 2012 (13-19 May).
The agency will deliver a national consumer campaign next May, using a mixture of media relations, celebrity endorsements and a creative stunt.
The Third Sector Research Centre has launched a website offering resources on voluntary sector jobs. Boosted by £200,000 from the Big Lottery Fund, it includes information on policy, social and economic impact and funding.
3Space, a property charity, has launched a competition for not-for-profit organisations to win use of a retail unit for a pop-up project. The charity's High Street Hijack campaign will ask the public to vote on its Facebook page.
YouthNet has discovered that 24 per cent of young people nationwide are more concerned about debt than death. The online charity surveyed more than 1,000 respondents, finding only seven per cent feared death or becoming ill.
Help the Hospices has launched its first awareness week. Hospice Care Week (8-14 October) saw actor Ewan McGregor and Health Secretary Andrew Lansley upload images to Flickr for the One Word campaign to improve perceptions of UK hospices.
