PruHealth will sponsor the National Trust's first Walking Festival. More than 1,000 walks will take place during the festival from 22 to 30 October.

Shelter partnered with TM Lewin to create the world's biggest house of shirts as part of National Shirt Week last week. Celebrities Jon Snow and Idris Elba have supported the campaign by donating a shirt.

Dimensions, the learning disabilities charity, has hired Rashmi Becker as executive director for marketing and business. Previously director of marketing and comms at Dubai Healthcare City, Becker will manage the company's profile, partnerships, public engagement and advocacy.

Diabetes UK has appointed Jacqui Kean as head of marketing.

She joins from the COI where she was a strategic consultant. Rachel Carse also joins as head of stakeholder relations from her role as a director at RP Associates. Both will contribute to strengthening the company's national profile.

No Smoking Day has merged with the British Heart Foundation as it prepares to lose a £250,000 Department of Health annual grant. BHF's director of policy and comms Betty McBride said the move would strengthen the charity's reach.
