PR Week UK, Friday, 30 September 2011, 12:00am,
1. This week, home entertainment specialist DnA PR hosted a screening exclusively for Jason Statham lookalikes to promote the DVD and Blu-ray release of the actor's latest movie Blitz. The Soho cinema saw more than 20 handsome, stubbly chaps in suit jackets and jeans perfect their meanest looks and drink beer.
2. A week ago, giant pairs of six-metre-high hands mysteriously appeared in seven cities throughout Europe including in London's Covent Garden and Berlin, drawing crowds and sparking speculation on Twitter about what they were waiting for. This week, the hands were filled with Nikon's new camera system Nikon N1, courtesy of agency Brands2Life. You know what they say - big hands, big camera.
3. First came planking, next up is trunking, if Porter Novelli has anything to do with it. It helped client BT rally the public to 'trunk' in support of David Walliams' goliath swim along the River Thames. JLS were among the celebs who joined in.
