Edelman: named as the 'hotshot' full-service agency

Edelman: named as the 'hotshot' full-service agency

The findings come from a survey of 656 in-house and agency PR professionals by recruitment firm The Works Search and Selection.

While 80 per cent of PROs were between 'OK' and 'very happy' with their current role, some 60 per cent admitted they would consider a move if the right opportunity came along.

Among financial PR agency employees, 44 per cent were actively looking for a new role. Corporate agency employees were also the least happy, with 27 per cent being less than content with their current jobs compared with just 15 per cent of tech and digital agency employees.

Sarah Leembruggen, managing partner at The Works, commented: 'Pay being the main reason for leaving is a true reflection of the market for consultancy account executives and account managers and therefore something employers need to consider seriously.

'Additionally, there are important implications for retention at the senior end (account directors and PR manager upwards) as they don't feel challenged, so investing in learning and development will be important.'

The survey also asked which agencies were the 'hottest' agency in each sector, other than the respondent's own company.

Edelman was named the 'hotshot' full-service agency, FD in financial comms, Blue Rubicon for corporate, Freuds for consumer and Hotwire for tech.
