Kim Underhill: promoted at Kimberly-Clark
Underhill, who is currently vice president UK and Ireland for the manufacturer of brands including Andrex, Kleenex and Huggies, will move to become president of its consumer Europe division.
She will work alongside Turrell in the coming weeks to ensure a smooth handover before he leaves to become chief executive of the breakfast brand in October, as revealed earlier today.
In her new role, Underhill will take responsibility for directing Kimberly-Clark’s consumer business in Western and Central Europe, reporting to Robert Abernathy, group president of North Atlantic consumer products.
Underhill said: "I am proud to lead such a talented group of people and I am excited about the future of our brands as we continue to drive innovation and category growth for our retail customers."
Underhill joined Kimberly-Clark in 1988 and held various positions within its research, engineering and operations department. She then moved into marketing in 1994 and held several positions within the North American consumer business.
She was appointed marketing director for North American infant care in 2004 and then two year later was appointed president of family care marketing, North America and took over the role of business operations and marketing development for the near $4bn business.
In August 2009 she moved to the UK to take up her current role as vice president UK & Ireland. Her replacement will be announced in the coming weeks.
