SYDNEY: Tim Dyson, CEO of OneMonday Group - recently rebranded from Text 100 Group - has named the new CEO of subsidiary brand August. One as Asia-Pacific director Sophie Brooks.
SYDNEY: Tim Dyson, CEO of OneMonday Group - recently rebranded from Text 100 Group - has named the new CEO of subsidiary brand August. One as Asia-Pacific director Sophie Brooks.
The announcement comes as plans to launch August. One in Hong Kong near completion. August. One's parent company changed its name to OneMonday Group last month (PR Week, 27 October) to distinguish itself from its primary brand, Text 100 International.
August. One currently has 105 staff across offices in London, Edinburgh, Auckland and Sydney. Hong Kong, where Text 100 opened its first Asian office last year, will be August. One's fifth outpost.
Brooks takes over the group's second-largest brand, which launched last year as a consumer agency after spinning-off from the group's primary consultancy Text 100 as part of a plan to divide the group into eight separate brands.
In her new role, she joins the executive council, which reports to the Group's board, headed by Dyson.
OneMonday Group has just reported 60 per cent growth in turnover, with Asia showing the strongest sales. Asian turnover was pounds 2.8 million for the year, although a loss of pounds 25 million was incurred.
Brooks, who has worked at Text 100 in London and Sydney over the past eight years, was instrumental in the agency's win of the Microsoft account in Australia, Singapore, Hong Kong and New Zealand.
In 1998, Brooks was appointed regional client sevices director responsible for the agency's drive in Asia Pacific.
Last year, she was promoted to the August. One board of directors.
Her appointment follows the departure of August. One's former president Katie Kemp, who left in the summer to take a career break.
