Floxx: lets users spot attractive people
The website allows users to post messages and share the ‘hot spot location’ where they have spotted an attractive person.
Floxx was launched by entrepreneur Rich Martell in January 2011 and followed his previous project FitFinder, which attracted global attention following its development by Martell during his university days in 2010. After growing pressure from universities over its risqué content, FitFinder was forced to shut it down.
Since then, Floxx has undergone a relaunch and significant investment from former Dragons’ Den member Doug Richard and Silicon Valley investor Kevin Wall.
PHA Media’s entrepreneur and business team will promote the launch of a series of apps for Floxx as the brand sets to move away from on-campus flirting to a wider reaching social network based purely on location and time.
Floxx CEO and founder Rich Martell said: "PHA impressed us with a well thought out pitch that addressed not only the ideas we had put forward to them, but also correlated with some we had developed in their absence since our initial meetings."
Floxx is based at 'Silicon Roundabout', East London's new hub for tech and digital start-ups.
