BDO, the world's fifth largest accountancy firm, has drafted in Smithfield to support its PR and comms activity across a number of its practice groups. The agency will focus on the strategic positioning of BDO's practice groups, raising their profile among their target customer bases and supporting thought-leadership activity.
Barney Wyld, senior director, strategy and comms at the Office of Fair Trading, is moving to Unilever. Taking up his new role in August, he will become VP, media relations, campaigns and digital in the Unilever global comms team. The OFT has promoted Paul Latham to the role of comms director following Wyld's departure. Latham is currently OFT head of external relations.
Capital MSL has expanded its presence in the Middle East with the launch of the company's office in Abu Dhabi. Clients include the Abu Dhabi National Energy Company, Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank and INSEAD.
ChangeGroup, the global foreign exchange company, has chosen Brazil to oversee its UK and pan-European PR and social media programmes.
Waterlogic has called in Kreab Gavin Anderson to handle its ongoing financial comms following the company's listing on the London Stock Exchange's AIM market.
