My YouTube ad of the week: Sue Unerman, MediaCom

Sue Unerman reviews Watch/Primeval 5

Sue Unerman, chief strategy officer, MediaCom
Why I like this
It was my esteemed colleague Jerry Lloyd-Williams who I first heard coin the phrase (in reference to a good app) that it should either save you time or waste your time. A good YouTube ad needs to do the latter. This is a great time waster, even if – as was true for me on the day I was reviewing it – I had no time to waste.
I expect no sympathy from readers, but this week is one of those weeks when (to quote my first boss Christine Walker) you barely have the time to go to the toilet. Despite this, and perhaps even because of this, the Primeval shoot-'em-up is deeply fun and distracting.
Wish I'd thought of
Frankly, I think I would have thought of this, and so would you. However, thinking of it and executing it as delightfully as this are two different things. Everyone loves a dinosaur. It's a deep-rooted attachment. Certainly, one of my earliest memories of school is making a dinosaur out of papier-mâché. Here you get to shoot them, and it is a good, fun waste of time. Now, I must get back to my meetings and, of course, try to improve my top score.
