Mystery ads appear in today's papers and Waitrose celebrates being voted Britain's favourite supermarket.

Unbranded ads are placed across the press carrying taglines including "is it wrong to do good in a bad way?" and "should violent criminals be treated violently?". The ads appear in The Independent and The Guardian.

Waitrose places a full page ad in The Times and The Daily Telegraph to tell readers about its recent retail awards. The supermarket has been awarded three accolades from Good Housekeeping, Verdict and Which?.

Sainsbury’s meanwhile focuses on its "feed your family for £50" promise with ads in The Sun and the Daily Mirror.

Asda takes out a double page spread in the Sun, the Daily Express, The Daily Mail  and the Daily Mirror to advertise garden furniture and children's activities.

Chanel takes out a full page in The Times to advertise its J12 Chromatic watch while Rolex also advertises its watches with a golf-themed ad in The Daily Telegraph.

The Carphone Warehouse advertises its new "network price promise" in The Independent.

Lastly O2 places three consecutive ads in The Guardian to promote its business contracts.
