After the Facebook/Burson-Marsteller kerfuffle, more evidence has emerged that agencies should be careful about who they work for. This time it's Brunswick in Italy, which, according to Reuters, found the Italian constabulary knocking at the door over an insider-trading probe into French dairy group Lactalis' bid for food company Parmalat. No suggestion of wrongdoing on Brunswick's part, but the visit from the boys in blue must nevertheless have set a few pulses racing ...
Flack has enjoyed playing football for pollsters Populus of late. A fine array of talent has been on display from The Red Consultancy, Citigate Dewe Rogerson and Blue Rubicon. Hardest-hitting opponents to date have been Edelman, led by combative account exec Jules Norton Selzer. The boys from Victoria netted a whopping 13 goals last week. Bruising stuff!
