Abchurch makes key hire
Abchurch Communications has appointed Adam Michael to head its growing life sciences and healthcare practice. Michael joins from College Hill Life Sciences, where he held the position of associate partner and head of media relations, working with clients including Cerenis, Prosensa and Roche Pharma.
The College of Occupational Therapists has recruited Lorraine Bridges as senior comms manager. She joins the college from the NHS, where she was a comms manager. The new post reflects the profession's expanding profile in the healthcare sector.
De Facto, part of Open Health and Chime Communications, has been appointed by Sepmag to create a brand profile for the company as a manufacturer of precision magnetophoresis systems for magnetic separation of fluids.
The Department of Health has launched a £1.2m campaign to help raise awareness of the early signs and symptoms of dementia. The campaign targets the family and friends of people at risk of dementia who are likely to be the first to see the signs.
