BORDER LINES: PARIS: Wustrack heads press at Alcatel

French telecoms giant Alcatel has appointed Klaus Wustrack as director of press relations. He will report to communications vice-president Caroline Mille. Wustrack began his career as a journalist at German technology magazine Markt und Technik. He moved into PR in 1985, joining chip manufacturer Intel before moving to IBM in 1993. In 1997 he joined Alcatel as communications head for the business systems division. His new global group role covers PR and analyst relations.
