Schwartz makes key hire for clean tech team.
Schwartz Communications, the technology and healthcare specialist, has appointed Rebecca Geller to lead the UK clean tech practice, which provides strategic comms for UK and European clean technology and renewable energy firms. She joins from US-based solar panel provider One Block Off the Grid, where she was PR director.
Davies Tanner, the travel and tourism PR shop, has launched a dedicated digital agency designed to provide online comms for clients in the global travel and tourism sector. The agency, Electric Suitcase, will specialise in providing digital and social media strategy solely for the tourism, events and business travel industries. Launch clients include De Vere Venues, Tourism Ireland and Audi Quattro Rooms.
Ketchum Pleon has hired Mo Lishomwa as head of digital for its London operation. Lishomwa joins from advertising agency Saatchi & Saatchi, where she served as digital director since 2008. She starts in April and replaces Fernando Rizo, who leaves the agency in March.
IronKey, the manufacturer of security software for mobile phones and computers, has brought in Red Lorry Yellow Lorry to handle its EMEA PR account. IronKey previously used Eskenzi PR. The agency will initially focus on securing product reviews and an issues-led campaign.
Tots100 has been launched to help PR professionals reach parent bloggers. The new website allows bloggers to sign up for their own account and create a personal profile, helping PROs to understand a blogger's preferences before sending a pitch. Bloggers can also opt into the Tots100 messaging service, which allows agencies to send targeted messages.
