Despite the furore over axed presenters Andy Gray and Richard Keys' comments about referee Sian Massey, 64 per cent of the 3,000 respondents to PRWeek/OnePoll's survey said their opinion of the channel had not changed.

A substantial 78 per cent said that they did not think Sky Sports as a channel was sexist.

But the findings were far less positive for the game's overall reputation, with 71 per cent agreeing that football was institutionally sexist.

Gray and Keys themselves were seen as sexist by 57 per cent of respondents.
