EBay appoints first European general manager of fashion

Lahage has held the same role for eBay's North America fashion business since joining in August last year.

In her new role Lahage will be responsible for strategy, driving innovation across the company’s fashion category and attracting more brands to the site. She reports directly into Clare Gilmartin, vice-president of eBay Europe.

Prior to eBay, she worked as a consultant at Net-a-Porter's site The Outnet.

In 2007 she launched Koodos, an online discount boutique for designer brands in the UK, before selling it in 2009 to E-Trader Group.

Earlier this month (7 January) eBay recruited former fashion editor Andrea Linett as creative director for eBay Fashion to advise on the design of the site and the style of its editorial merchandising and original content.
