AstraZeneca hires Esra Erkal Paler for global media role

Esra Erkal Paler will join the company, which generated global revenues of US $32.8 billion last year, as head of global media relations.

She will make the switch in in April 2011 and will be based in London, reporting to vice president of group corporate comms Neil McCrae.

Prior to joining the ASA in 2008, Erkal Paler spent six years as director of corporate comms and external affairs at health and beauty multinational, L'Oreal.

Before that she was head of corporate affairs at Unilever UK and Ireland.
