The business will move out of ZenithOptimedia, which currently handles the account but did not repitch. Starcom, PHD and Maxus also pitched for the business two weeks ago.
Vizeum was also on Pfizer's roster as it already works on the US drugs giant's smoking cessation projects.
Universal McCann also won the business for the Pfizer-owned Viagra in 2008 ahead of plans to make it available over the counter, which have yet to materialise. It is understood that this part of the business was not up for pitch.
The review was launched in October and focused on brands such as Anadin, Centrum and SMA.
The brands were owned by Wyeth, the consumer healthcare company that merged with Pfizer in a £50 billion deal last year.
Pfizer started a review of its $700m US media account, held by Carat, in September.
