Public Affairs: Tories get agency cash
PR Week UK, Friday, 03 December 2010, 12:00am,
The Conservative Party has received about £70,000 of donations from lobbying firms since David Cameron became Prime Minister.
Figures from the Electoral Commission show the Tories received donations from various consultancies in the past quarter. As reported on prweek.com (26 November), City firm Finsbury donated £8,000 in July - the first registered donation from Finsbury to the Tories. Donations also came from Hanover Communications (£13,500), Euro RSCG Apex Communications (£11,900), Bell Pottinger (£11,500) and EUK Consulting (£9,000).
The only lobbying firm to donate to Labour in the past quarter was Sovereign Strategy, which donated £2,400.
