Government bodies spent £112,239 on PR agencies Grayling, Freuds, Cake, Consolidated PR and The Forster Company in September.

This compares with £262,744 that was spent on agencies in May, before the Government initiated its marketing 'freeze'.

Details of all government spending over £25,000 since May were published last week. Freud Communications is the biggest recipient of PR cash, largely due to its work on the Department for Health's Change4Life campaign.
