The agency, which has offices in London and Oxford, has brought on board Kenyon to head up the new division. He will work closely with Brazil’s MD Joshua Van Raalte to expand its healthcare client base.
Brazil, has already lined up clients in the healthcare arena including iWantGreatCare.org, Doctors.net, GFK Healthcare and GP Update.
Kenyon, who has over 30 years’ experience working agency-side and in-house in the healthcare industry, spent several years as a director in Fleishman-Hillard’s healthcare division. He started off at CPR Worldwide, which was later acquired by Fleishman-Hillard, where he set up the agency’s UK operation.
He has been working as a consultant in the healthcare comms industry for several years.
Kenyon also spent two years working with Japanese pharmaceutical company Takeda in the UK as communications manager. In this role he was responsible for pan-European comms for the company.
He has previously worked on pan-European and UK programmes for pharmaceuticals, medical devices, professional and patient associations, animal health, consumer health.
Brazil, which was established in 2003 by Van Raalte, a former journalist, and Richard Leonard, has clients in sectors including financial services, retail, technology, automotive, food and drink, and consumer goods.
Brazil’s other agency clients have included Honda, DSG International, 118 118, AXA Insurance and The Gillette Company.
