EMI Music's global corporate comms chief Amanda Conroy to leave

Conroy’s departure is the result of newly appointed group CEO Roger Faxon’s decision to base the company’s global corporate communications in New York, where he is based.

The function will now be led by Dylan Jones, who has worked at EMI Music Publishing’s worldwide communications for the past three years.

Conroy has worked for EMI since February 2000 when she was appointed senior vice president, corporate communications, of the then FTSE listed company EMI Group plc. She joined EMI from Universal Music where she was vice president of communications, international and before that she spent 10 years as head of corporate communications for PolyGram prior to its merger with Universal.

Conroy said: 'I have loved my time at EMI. It has been a privilege to work with such creative and talented people and in an industry that has been at the leading edge of the digital age. I wish EMI, Roger and everyone at the company all success in the future.'
