In her new role, Pike will be responsible for looking at brand development opportunities in new and existing markets, reporting to vice president of Europe, Tom Monaghan.
She joined the company in May 2007 with more than 20 years experience in leisure/retail, including time as marketing director for Fitness First Group.
Her promotion forms part of a group restructure in the UK, which has also resulted in former sales director David Penn now spearheading the company as general manager in the UK, Ireland and Nordic region.
Meanwhile, Geoff Percy has stepped down as Simple’s chief executive, along with Peter Hatherly, the financial director. The duo led the business in an MBO from Smith & Nephew plc ten years ago, and then through two periods of PE ownership, culminating in the successful sale to Alberto Culver nine months ago.
Percy has agreed to continue with Alberto Culver in an advisory role, on a week per month basis. He will also build on his chairmanship of Orion Media.
