Porter Novelli has bolstered its West Coast public affairs presence with the acquisition of pounds 4 million agency Nelson Communications Group (NCG). According to Nelson CEO and president Donna Lucas her firm will officially become NCG Porter Novelli, a separate unit operating in tandem with Porter Novelli’s LA and San Francisco offices, as well as Malibu-based Goddard Claussen Porter Novelli, the issues advocacy firm acquired in July. No staff or management changes are planned for the 60-strong operation, and the firm will continue to operate its offices in Sacramento, Irvine and San Diego.
