PUBLIC SECTOR: Cranfield applies PR to university challenge

Cranfield University is to go further in its head-to-head battle for students with its competitors, the London Business School and Harvard in the US, with the creation of the new role of PR manager. The manager’s brief will be to improve the college’s image across the business community in Europe and North America with the freedom to review and set out the future direction of PR strategy. The role will also take responsibility for three press officers in addition to the events and the publications work of the college, and will report to corporate affairs director Gill Marshall.
