Leaving NI Water: Pat McParland
The new role has been created in order to better manage the party’s continued expansion of its comms work both within the party and with the public.
In addition to being responsible for the party’s press and research office in Leinster House, the deputy general secretary will play an important role in the party’s senior management team.
McParland has over a decade of experience in the PR and comms industry, working in Dublin and Belfast.
Commenting on the appointment, Fianna Fáil’s general secretary Seán Dorgan said; ‘We are determined to significantly improve and extend the quality of our comms work and we decided to expand the role traditionally played by the party’s head of press and research. I am delighted that we are in a position to appoint a person of Pat’s skills and experience to this important position.’
