Tonic Life Communications expands into Asia with launch of Hong Kong office

Tonic, which is owned by marketing communications group Huntsworth, currently works with ethical and consumer healthcare clients from its existing London and US offices.

Joanne Basford, formerly regional director of Ogilvy Health, has been appointed as managing director of Tonic Life Communications Asia. She will be working closely with the global management team at Tonic and also with the broader Huntsworth network, which includes Grayling and Citigate, already established in the Asia-pacific region.

‘Tonic already has a number of international clients that have been seeking for our support in Asia and by opening this office we will be well-placed to offer local insight coupled with world-class talent and campaigns,’ said global CEO and co-founder Scott Clark. ‘From a regional hub in Hong Kong we will drive not only regional campaigns for our clients, but will be further developing our business with additional offices in Singapore and Shanghai planned for the near future.’

Tonic Life Communications was started in 2004 in the UK and acquired by Huntsworth in July 2009.
