Scancell, a UK company taking the world's first DNA vaccine for melanoma into human trials, has called in Schwartz Communications to handle its PR.The agency has also picked up a brief with Memometal, an international designer and manufacturer of surgical implants for orthopaedic extremities.
Hill & Knowlton has strengthened its specialist healthcare and wellbeing team by hiring Daisy Thomas as account director. She joins from the Human Tissue Authority, where she was head of communications.
PRCA Healthcare group concluded at a recent meeting there is a disconnect between parliamentary perceptions of healthcare and the reality for patients. The meeting was the first in a series of healthcare events bringing together healthcare PR experts to discuss healthcare policy.
