Two top comms experts working at Olympics quangos have been revealed to be among the highest paid civil servants working in non-departmental public bodies.

The Cabinet Office today published the names and salary bands of 158 quango employees who earn more than the Prime Minister, in the interests of transparency. Prime Minister David Cameron earns £142,500.
 
The Olympic Delivery Authority’s director of communications Godric Smith is the highest paid comms professional working at a quango, earning between £195,000 and £199,999. Smith formerly worked as Tony Blair's offical spokesman when he was prime minister.
 
In addition, Olympic Park Legacy Company executive director for marketing and communications Karen Webb is the second highest-paid PR person on the list, earning £170,000 to £174,999.
 
The list also features permanent secretary for government communications Matt Tee, who is in the £160,000 to £164,999 bracket.
 
Nuclear Decommissioning Authority director of communications and stakeholder relations Jon Phillips earns between £150,000 and £154,999.
